Exam assessment criteria:Level 3:
I can put my hands on the correct part of the piano. I know where CD and E is on the piano. I played part 3 with one hand.
Level 4: I can play part 1 mostly fluently. I know where to find a G# and an Eb on the piano.
Level 5: I can play part 1 twice through fluently and with correct notes/fingers.
Level 6:
I can play part 1 and 4 (left and right hand) with correct notes, rhythms and hand/finger position.
Level 7: I can play a full fluent performance of In the hall of the Mountain King. I have joined a school band to perform this out of lesson. I can mentor my peers.
WEEKLY HOMEWORK: You must practise 5-10 MINUTES EVERY WEEK in 207 on your practical piece.
Times available to practise are:
Monday-Thursday 2.50-3.30
Tuesdays-Wednesday lunchtimes: 12.40-13.10
Wednesdays 8.15-8.30
* You must sign in with a member of staff to make sure you name is ticket off WEEKLY; non-attendance WILL result in an SAD for homework not done.

Piano part 1: If you can play both hands of this piece in time and with the correct dynamics and tempo in time with a partner, you can work towards a LEVEL 7.
Piano Part 2: If you can play both hands of this piece in time and with the correct dynamics and tempo in time with a partner, you can work towards a LEVEL 6.
Piano Part 3: If you can play both hands of this piece in time and with the correct dynamics and tempo in time with a partner, you can work towards a LEVEL 5.
If you can play part one/two handed it will be a level 4.
